Welcome to Dorise-Brown Fitness & Learning Academy (“the Academy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By enrolling a child, submitting an inquiry, accessing our website, or participating in our programs, you (“parent,” “guardian,” or “user”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.

1. Enrollment & Registration

Enrollment is confirmed only after all required forms are completed, fees are paid, and all necessary documents are submitted.

Parents/guardians must provide accurate, up-to-date information, including emergency contacts and authorized pickup persons.

Any changes to your child’s information must be communicated to us promptly.

2. Tuition, Fees & Payment Policies

Tuition rates, required deposits, and fee structures are provided during enrollment and may differ by program.

Tuition must be paid on time according to the Academy’s payment schedule.

Late payments may result in late fees, temporary suspension of services, or removal from the program.

Returned payments may incur additional fees.

Government assistance (PFCC) families must comply with all agency rules and requirements. Families are responsible for any uncovered balances.

3. Hours of Operation & Scheduling

Scheduling, program availability, and operating hours are outlined on our website and may vary by season or program type.

Parents/guardians are responsible for adhering to scheduled pickup and drop-off times.

Late pickup fees may apply according to Academy policy.

The Academy reserves the right to adjust schedules or programming as needed.

4. Attendance & Absences

Parents/guardians must notify the Academy of absences in advance when possible.

Tuition may not be prorated or refunded for absences, holidays, breaks, illnesses, or closures outside the Academy’s control unless specified otherwise.

5. Health, Safety & Wellness

A completed health form must be provided before enrollment.

Children must be kept home if they display symptoms of contagious illness, fever, or other conditions listed in our health guidelines.

The Academy may request early pickup if a child becomes ill during the day.

All medication administration must follow Academy policy and state regulations.

6. Authorized Pickup & Security

Only individuals listed on the authorized pickup list may collect a child.

Identification may be required at any time for safety purposes.

The Academy may deny release of a child to anyone appearing impaired, unsafe, or unauthorized.

7. Program Activities & Participation

The Academy provides structured activities including fitness, learning, enrichment, and recreation.

Parents/guardians acknowledge that participation involves reasonable physical activity and movement.

The Academy is not responsible for injuries resulting from normal play, activities, or accidental incidents, except where negligence is proven.

8. Personal Belongings

The Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Personal items should be labeled clearly to avoid mix-ups.

9. Media & Photography Consent

With parental/guardian permission, the Academy may photograph or record children for internal use, learning documentation, or promotional materials.

Parents may decline media consent at any time by submitting a written request.

10. Behavior Expectations & Dismissal Policy

Children are expected to follow staff instructions and demonstrate age-appropriate behavior.

The Academy may request a conference to address behavioral concerns.

The Academy reserves the right to suspend or dismiss a child from the program for conduct that compromises safety, well-being, or learning environments.

11. Website Use & Digital Communication

By using dorisebrownacademy.com, you agree not to misuse the website or attempt unauthorized access.

We may communicate with families via phone, email, SMS, or the Academy’s digital platforms regarding important updates, scheduling, billing, and announcements.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected.

By using our website or enrolling in our programs, you acknowledge and agree to the practices outlined in the Privacy Policy.

13. Closures, Emergencies & Unforeseen Events

The Academy may close due to weather, emergencies, building issues, public health concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Tuition may not be refunded or prorated in these situations unless otherwise stated in program guidelines.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy is not liable for:

Accidental injuries,

Damages to personal property,

Interruptions of service due to unforeseen events,

Acts of third parties.

15. Policy Changes

The Academy reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Changes will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
